Double Hung Windows
Back to Windows

A traditional icon of Australian homes, the double hung window has always been chosen because of its functionality. The double hung window incorporates vertically sliding sashes within a frame with the two sashes both able to slide. Two sashes allow greater control over the amount of air being let in, useful for circulating fresh air around the room.
If required, a single operating sash can also be complemented with a fixed sash instead to create a single hung window.
WINDOOR double hung windows can be made with weights and cords or a counter balance cord pulley system.
