Windoor’s awning windows are hinged along the top and open out from the bottom. The awning window is ideal for providing ventilation in inclement weather and in situations where furniture or a fixture such as a bench top restricts access.
The standard hardware on a Windoor awning window is a chain-winder. With this set up you turn a small (fold in) handle to open and close the window. These are lockable as standard. A chain-winder system means that if a fly-screen is fitted, the window can be opened and closed without removing the screen. In addition Windoor uses only stainless steel stays to ensure smoother operation and a longer life.
All awning windows from Windoor have seals to prevent drafts and help prevent any moisture penetration when closed. The seals also help prevent heat loss in the winter. The sash is made from the traditional larger timber section sizes.
